I’ve been meaning to start this album for years, but the May challenges at The Lilypad finally pushed me into it, and I’m SO glad! I collect inexpensive jewelry from our destination any time my husband and I travel together. This album will pair photos of the jewelry with shots of the destination, and include a short anecdote about why I selected that particular piece. This shows the earrings I picked out for our recent visit to Paris.

29 April 2016: The day we visited the Eiffel Tower, the wisteria was beginning to bloom. I was enamored of their gorgeous purple-blue blossoms, and couldn’t get enough of photographing the tower framed by their beauty.
As I looked for my jewelry to bring home from Paris, I knew I wanted something that would remind me of that magic afternoon. When Anita found Matiere Premiere, the “make-it-yourself jewelry bar”, I was thrilled!
It allowed me to create the perfect earrings to remember our visit: small bronze charms int he shape of the Eiffel tower along with these gorgeous purple half-beads. As you move them in the light, they shift from purple to blue in a perfect mimicry of those gorgeous wisteria blossoms.Found in: My Jewelry Collection, Our European Adventure 2016, Places We Go
