In the moments before this shot, Audrey warned Logan that he couldn’t chase Eddie like he was chasing Jack-Jack. Like all toddlers, he asked why, and was told it’s because Eddie was mostly blind. Logan crouched down, cupped Eddie’s face in his chubby, dimpled little hands, and gazed at him with such sweetness and sorrow.
Even at three, Logan had tremendous empathy and treated this half-blind, quiet old dog with compassion and gentleness. Five years later, I can say it’s a core part of who Logan is – this soft heart – and I pray he can remain sweet and gentle despite this tough world we live in.Guest Polly at The Lilypad, People We Love
