I love to travel; it’s just the traveling part I hate. Since I developed fibromyalgia, and my migraines got wildly out of control, travel takes a heavy toll on my body. This self-portrait was shot in our hotel room the morning after arriving in Las Vegas for the Toastmasters International Convention. In chronic pain parlance, I didn’t have any spoons left. I was waiting on pain medication to kick in so I could join my husband downstairs at the conference. I’ve decided to dub this Realbooking: showing what life is really like, not just the beautifully styled and perfect images you find all over Pinterest. This is what I look like at the beginning of a vacation or conference or convention. Every time.
